High-resolution PCVR for sim racing and flight simulation with 2880 × 2880 pixels per eye and glass aspheric optics.
The Pimax Crystal Light is a wired PCVR headset with dual 2880 × 2880 QLED panels, Mini-LED local dimming and 35 pixels per degree. Four-camera inside-out tracking covers the headset and included controllers without external base stations for the standard setup. Pimax Play manages configuration and supports Steam VR, OpenXR and OpenVR applications.
Why choose this product?
- 2880 × 2880 resolution per eye and 35 PPD provide the pixel density needed to read small cockpit instruments, dashboards and interface text more clearly.
- Four-camera inside-out tracking and a direct DisplayPort 1.4a connection provide a complete wired PCVR route without making external tracking stations mandatory for the normal setup.
Product details
QLED display and glass optics
Crystal Light combines QLED panels, Mini-LED local dimming and glass aspheric lenses. Pimax specifies 35 PPD and 72 Hz, 90 Hz and 120 Hz refresh modes. Manual IPD adjustment covers 58–72 mm. Eye tracking is not included; Pimax lists Fixed Foveated Rendering 2.0 instead.
Tracking, audio and controls
The headset uses 6DoF inside-out tracking with four cameras and includes two motion controllers. Integrated audio is complemented by a 3.5 mm jack and two microphones. Pimax also lists optional Lighthouse Faceplate and DMAS compatibility; neither accessory is included.
PC connection and software
Crystal Light requires a Windows PC, DisplayPort 1.4a, USB 3.0 or higher and external power. Pimax Play configures the headset and supports Steam VR, OpenXR and OpenVR applications.
