Moza Racing R12 Direct Drive Wheelbase

The 12 Nm servo direct-drive system has been specially developed for simulating racing cars and delivers a stable and realistic torque output of 12 Nm. The system mimics the steering forces found in road and racing cars, providing detailed, immersive feedback from both the virtual vehicle and the track surface, right in your hands.

Slanted pile design:

The R12 engine uses advanced technology derived from the R21 base, with a unique tilted-pole design. The rotor is intelligently segmented into three sections with carefully calculated angles, resulting in a revolutionary engine design. This significantly reduces cogging torque, torque ripple, electromagnetic vibration and noise levels compared to conventional motors. The innovative design ensures the R12 engine runs seamlessly and quietly, with unparalleled smoothness and minimal noise and vibration.

Philosophy of maximum and minimum design:

The R12 DD base is designed with a fast slot filling speed and uses high permeability magnetic cores and powerful neodymium iron boron magnets. This delivers high energy and low current density characteristics. The compact design and low power consumption ensure maximum torque output, which greatly improves efficiency and temperature control.

Ultra-low torque ripple:

The motor in the R12 DD base uses an 18-slot, 16-pin high-slot design, the highest pole count in its class. This design delivers ultra-low torque ripple and exceptional shock absorption performance, contributing to a smooth and seamless steering experience.

Wide speed range with high torque:

The low back electromotive force design provides a wide speed range even at high torque. This makes it possible to deliver high torque at high speeds and prevents torque dropout during quick direction corrections, ensuring a smooth and consistent steering experience.

Ultra-low FFB latency and steering response:

Thanks to the 280MHz processor chip and optimized algorithms, the system offers ultra-low force feedback latency and fast steering response. This allows the driver to control the vehicle with precision and ease, delivering an engaging and responsive driving experience.

New generation FFB filter algorithm:

The R12 DD base uses MOZA's latest force feedback filter algorithm, providing improved dynamic feedback. This makes oversteer and understeer clearer and richer, making the feedback while racing more detailed and realistic.

Aviation grade aluminum:

The MOZA R12 is built with an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy housing, finished with automotive-grade paint and laser etching. This ensures a long-lasting and extremely durable finish that can withstand the rigors of intensive use.

Industrial conductive slip ring:

The base and steering wheel are connected via a military-grade conductive slip ring, which has a lifespan of more than 5 million revolutions. The patented design ensures high stability and durability, while at the same time allowing continuous, fast rotation.

Compact design:

The integrated motor design ensures a compact size, while still offering a standard 4-hole bottom mounting pattern. The base can be easily installed on most specialty rigs and floor stands. In smaller spaces, the base can be mounted with a desktop clamp, saving space and providing a convenient, enjoyable driving experience anytime, anywhere.
