What is the THORP™ System?

The THORP™ system offers the most realistic braking system for sim racing. The hydraulic braking system simulates the feeling of a real racing car braking system in two stages:

1. The Soft Phase:
   • When you apply pressure to the pedal, the pedal moves approximately 10-20 mm as the caliper pistons move toward the disc move and push the brake pads against the disc. This simulates the phase in which the backlash in the mechanical system is compensated.
2. The Hard Phase:
   • As the hydraulic pressure builds, you will feel a solid stop, like pressing against a wall. In this stage you push against the hydraulic fluid which is incompressible, resulting in a hard brake pedal. This feeling corresponds exactly to the braking system of a real racing car.
