Fanatec Gran Turismo® DD Extreme - Playstation / PC
The Fanatec Gran Turismo® DD Extreme combines the ClubSport DD+ Wheel Base with a 300 mm Gran Turismo steering wheel developed with Polyphony Digital. It is built for PS5®, PS4® and Windows PC, delivering 18 Nm holding torque, FullForce support in compatible games, QR2 connections and a control layout tailored to Gran Turismo. Pedals are not included, so the package is intended for racers who already own or plan to add a compatible Fanatec pedal set.

Bundle components
ClubSport DD+ wheel base
The Direct Drive servo motor is purpose-built for sim racing and uses Fanatec’s FluxBarrier technology plus an optimised rotor magnet angle to reduce cogging and improve smoothness. The wheel base provides 18 Nm holding torque after updating to firmware V1.4.2.3 or later. A high-resolution contactless Hall sensor, 2520-degree adjustable rotation and fast motor acceleration support detailed, stable responses. Passive cooling is designed to maintain performance without a fan.
Gran Turismo steering wheel
The 300 mm rim uses a premium vegan-leather grip and a control layout designed with Polyphony Digital. A 2.7-inch OLED display supports the Tuning Menu and telemetry where available. Nineteen programmable RGB LEDs include a RevLED strip, FlagLEDs and illuminated rings around the four 5-way directional sticks. A 7-way FunkySwitch, 11 PlayStation-oriented buttons, magnetic shifters and two analogue clutch paddles provide control without leaving the wheel.
Paddles and analogue modes
The two analogue clutch paddles can operate in clutch bite-point, clutch and handbrake, brake and throttle, or mappable-axis mode. This allows starts with a defined bite point and, in the supported brake and throttle mode, basic driving without pedals. The main shifter paddles use 3 mm black-anodised aluminium plates and neodymium magnets for a defined shift action.
Mounting and included hardware
The QR2 Lite Wheel-Side and QR2 Base-Side Type-F are preinstalled. Side and bottom T-nut rails support adjustable hard mounting, and four T-nuts are supplied. The wheel base also includes the regional power supply and a USB-C to USB-A cable. A rigid cockpit is recommended for the full 18 Nm output; pedals and a table clamp are not included.
Software and configuration
FullForce adds high-frequency detail effects to the regular force-feedback signal in supported titles. Standard and Advanced Tuning Menus provide simplified or detailed adjustment, while FanaLab can configure the wheel’s RGB LEDs on PC. Fanatec App V1.2.1 or later is required for Windows use, and current firmware is required to enable the 18 Nm torque update.
Upgrade options
The package supports modern Fanatec pedal sets, shifters and handbrakes. Pedals are sold separately and connect to the wheel base. The included steering wheel has no torque limitation, but ClubSport Static Shifter Paddles are not supported.

Connection and ecosystem: QR2 wheel and base interfaces are preinstalled. The wheel base supports modern Fanatec pedals, ClubSport shifters and the ClubSport handbrake.
Requirements: Compatible pedals are required for normal driving and are not included. FullForce effects, telemetry and LED functions depend on game and software support.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Gran Turismo DD Extreme include pedals?
No. The package contains the wheel, wheel base, power supply and listed hardware. Compatible Fanatec pedals are sold separately.
Is the system compatible with Xbox?
The included Gran Turismo steering wheel is not an Xbox-licensed wheel. This package is specified for PS5, PS4 and Windows PC.
How do I enable 18 Nm torque?
Install current Fanatec software and update the wheel base to firmware V1.4.2.3 or later. The May 2026 update increased holding torque from 15 Nm to 18 Nm.
Can the analogue paddles replace pedals?
One selectable mode maps the analogue paddles to brake and throttle, but this is a control option rather than a replacement for a full pedal set.
What is FullForce?
FullForce is Fanatec’s Direct Drive force-feedback protocol for adding high-frequency detail effects. The effect requires support from the game.
