MOZA Racing
MOZA mBooster Active Pedal
The MOZA mBooster Active Pedal replaces fixed mechanical pedal behaviour with a high-torque servo motor and ball-screw drive. It can be configured as a throttle, brake or clutch and can reproduce effects such as ABS intervention, traction-control feedback, engine vibration, gearshift impact and longitudinal load changes. Dual pressure sensors and a high-resolution motor encoder support precise input measurement, while MOZA Pit House provides the main setup interface.
Why choose this product?
- Dual 200 kg load cells, a 15-bit angle sensor and a 21-bit motor encoder combine pressure, travel and motor position for detailed control.
- Pedal role, travel, damping, rebound, friction and feedback effects can be changed in MOZA Pit House without replacing springs or elastomers.
Product details
Active force-feedback mechanism
The pedal uses a servo motor and ball-screw mechanism to generate resistance and return force rather than relying only on passive springs. The closed, rail-free structure is designed for low friction and MOZA reports an operating-noise level of 44 dB. The aluminium body and compact motor are intended for rigid cockpit installation.
Sensors and adjustment
Two load cells each cover a pressure range up to 200 kg, while a 15-bit angle sensor measures pedal movement. A 21-bit magnetic encoder tracks the motor position. Travel can be set from 0–25° and pedal angle from 0–15°, with adjustable output curves, pressure engagement and real-time output display.
Connection, software and mounting
The pedal requires external power and uses its power adapter. It can connect directly to a PC by USB or to a supported MOZA wheelbase. Up to three active pedals can be linked. The MOZA mBooster Base Plate supports rigid multi-pedal mounting, while mixed installation with MOZA CRP2 Load Cell Pedals is officially supported. Optional plates and other pedals are not included.
Compatibility
Platform: Windows PC through USB or a supported MOZA-base connection.
Pedal combinations: one, two or three mBooster pedals can be linked; mixed use with CRP2 mechanical pedals is supported.
Power requirement: external power is mandatory; the active motor cannot operate as an unpowered USB device.

Frequently asked questions
Can it work as throttle, brake or clutch?
Yes. Its role is selected in MOZA Pit House, with separate response and feedback profiles.
Does it require external power?
Yes. The active motor requires the power adapter connected to the pedal's power port.
Can it be combined with CRP2 pedals?
Yes. MOZA supports mixed installations, although the correct plate or extension hardware may be required.
Which feedback effects can it reproduce?
Supported telemetry can drive ABS, traction-control, engine-vibration, gearshift and G-force-style effects.
How many active pedals can be connected?
Up to three mBooster pedals can be linked, with one pedal serving as the main PC or wheelbase connection.
