ES3 Elite: choose the shell material
Both ES3 editions share a fixed-back design, sculpted shoulder and side support, moulded cushions, synthetic-suede and PU-leather upholstery, and included multi-position side brackets. Those brackets let you set height and angle without a recliner mechanism. The angled seat cushion helps keep your body positioned under hard braking. Air channels in the cushions assist passive heat management, but the ES3 does not include powered cooling.
The carbon-fiber ES3 is for buyers who specifically want the full carbon shell and high-gloss finish. The fiberglass ES3 keeps the same seating approach with a high-strength fiberglass shell. Both are intended for simulator use, including demanding direct-drive, load-cell and motion setups; neither is a road-car seat. We would choose between them on material preference and budget, then verify the physical fit.
ES1 Hypercool: active airflow for long sessions
The ES1 Hypercool takes a different approach. Two built-in centrifugal fans push air through breathable SIMAERO Mesh, with a continuously adjustable control for fan speed. Its rotationally moulded LLDPE shell and PU foam are designed for cockpit use. Next Level Racing lists a wider waist allowance, up to 42 inches, and a maximum supported load of 250 kg. These published measurements are a starting point: always compare seat dimensions with your body and cockpit.
GT seating works out of the box. For a Hybrid or Formula position, Next Level Racing calls for its separately sold Universal Seat Brackets. That distinction matters if you are building an open-wheel position. The manufacturer states compatibility with the Elite cockpit family through suitable side-seat brackets and with many third-party cockpits, subject to measurements.
Installation and fit checklist
- Measure your body and seat space. The ES3 has a more contained, fixed-shell fit; compare the published waist guidance and seat dimensions.
- Check cockpit mounting. ES3 side brackets are supplied, but hole positions and surrounding frame clearance still matter. The ES1 requires the mounting arrangement appropriate to your chosen cockpit and seating position.
- Choose the position first. GT, Hybrid and Formula positions can require different brackets or adjustment.
